This was my most controversial post at Blogher 07. It's only been two weeks since the conference, and already over 1400 people have watched this! And there've been a lot of comments on both youtube and blogher over Amy saying "ching chong." Watch for yourself:



I have not commented on the other sites because I want to remain an impartial journalist. But since this is my personal blog, I can write whatever I want. And my opinion is this...I'm usually very sensitive to these kinds of things. But for some reason, Amy's comments did not bother me, at all. I am, of course, Asian American. And I felt like she was just goofing on everyone and everything around her.

The Art of Mechanical Bull Riding

Everything is opposite when riding a mechanical bull. Besides needing thighs of steel and arms of rubber, you're supposed to only hold on with one hand...the one hand you're not really dominant in. You're also supposed to squeeze your thighs against the side of the bull when it's trying to spin and throw you across the room. Also, if it dips down, you have to sit up, if it pulls back, you have to lean forward.

I now have bruises all along my thighs, thanks to learning how to ride a mechanical bull.
